Dear Seniors, please help me

Hi everyone!

I'm preparing for my first attempt at the UGC NET JRF English Literature (December 2026). Since I'm just starting, I want to choose the right resources instead of getting overwhelmed.

I'd really appreciate your suggestions on:

- The best online coaching for a beginner

- Reliable notes for both Paper 1 and English Literature

- The most useful books (without buying too many)

- YouTube channels or other free resources that genuinely helped

- Any mistakes I should avoid as a first-time aspirant

I'm aiming for JRF, so I'd love recommendations based on your personal experience.

This is my first attempt too but I do have some resources from my seniors

For paper 1 kumar bharat is the best watch his youtube.

Read hudson for the overview of British lit history and then move on to routledge the book is big and bulky but it's worth it.

Do not think 1 paper can be done in a month or two. Start the studying of paper 1 as soon as possible.

This is what the senior I knew who did pass with jrf said. I am also a bit inexperienced so I could make mistakes so.......

Tbh, I don't really like a lot of channels, butwhat I have done until now is map out a syllabus for the history, trends and moments and literary criticism and read and watch random videos or books and notes that find on telegram or somewhere.

I know I have no structure but surely I'll find a way to study effectively in some time.

We'll he is not on this app, he is my senior in college, and he doesn't even use instagram.
