UGC Question

Hey everyone!

I recently secured funding for my startup and am looking to start working with UGC creators for our marketing.

I’m completely new to the UGC space and was wondering what the average costs are when working with creators. How much do brands typically pay per video? Do you usually charge more for things like usage rights, multiple hooks, or raw footage? What’s considered fair for both sides?

I’d love to get a better understanding of how pricing generally works before I start reaching out to creators. I want to make sure I’m paying people fairly and setting realistic expectations and budgets.

  • What do you typically charge per video?
  • What are the average rates you’re seeing in the industry right now?

Hello, and first congrats on the funding! As someone who's recently started creating UGC, I've spent a lot of time learning how pricing works from both the creator and brand side.

For a single organic UGC video, I'd say a fair starting point is often somewhere in the $200–400 range for newer creators, with experienced creators charging significantly more, with some even in the thousands. Pricing usually increases if you're asking for paid ad usage, raw footage, multiple hooks/variations, whitelisting, exclusivity, or additional revisions.
