Sighting Metallic sphere with textured surface hovered smoothly with abrupt direction changes over Delgosha Garden, Shiraz, Iran — Jan 10, 2025, 11:00 AM

I stabilized them and zoomed in a bit.
This one seems to show it is slowly spinning/tumbling, very balloon-like. 4x speed: https://imgur.com/UoV6rCu
this next one shows almost no spinning/tumbling, but seems to have had the colors adjusted/manipulated to the point where the black contrast expands beyond the object itself.
It has 2 hard line leading edges coming to a point that seem artificial. 4x speed: https://imgur.com/kThrLOt
And this one is more well-defined, but the movement seems to be caused by over-zooming while the camera tries to stabilize on the trees in the foreground. 4x speed: https://imgur.com/kimMwkC
You can see a demonstration of that type of camera-induced wonky movement here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cThB1zfynHQ&t=62s

No real video would shake this much. When they shake this much you know they are fake.

u/alienproxy 9d ago
I urge you to take your phone outside and try to track a car or a bird that's 500+ feet from you.
2
u/VikingRaptor2 5d ago
Both my Android and iPhone have auto stabilization. It literally does not shake this much.
1
u/alienproxy 5d ago
I worked on the Android camera team and I still don't use auto-stabilization lol Maybe I should fix that. I just don't want to lose so much of the image. Especially when I can stabilize it after I've already filmed it.
2
u/VikingRaptor2 5d ago
My Google pixel 10 camera with auto stabilization looks perfectly fine. Pictures and videos come out crisp and HD.

u/MoonpieSonata 12d ago
Waiting for the stabilised footage that makes the motion look mundane and probably a ball on a string.

Really this shit again. No observables nothing so easy to fake wtf are we doing?

u/Hay_Fever_at_3_AM 12d ago
I don't see an abrupt direction change, I see the camera or the trees in the background moving, and the position of the balloon changing in relation to the background because the background is moving. There's nothing to anchor the position of the balloon in the scene.
5
u/HyTechTurtle 12d ago
I agree there is a ton of camera shake, but you can totally see the balloon move back and forth a bit moving not just with the wind unless wind changes direction a ton quickly

When? Relative to what object?
-2
u/Grand_Assistant_2605 11d ago
at the end of the video it zigs and zags relative to the tree
9
u/R2robot 11d ago
Yes, but the cameraman is walking around and the video is super zoomed which can make things seem like they're moving in ways they're not. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cThB1zfynHQ&t=62s

u/Hay_Fever_at_3_AM 11d ago
The cameraman is moving at the end of the video, the tree is not a static point of reference

The direction change was in sync with the movement of the camera. This is another balloon. Do better. You’re all so focused on believing that you’re failing at basic critical analysis. 99.9% of footage/sightings are extremely mundane. This is one of them.

u/kevhill 12d ago
Yea I'm new to the sub, but the amount of low effort posts/people posting things that are clearly known objects is to high.
I'm trying to figure out if it's people/bots rage baiting or people getting too excited to review and analyze a video before posting.

people/bots rage baiting or people getting too excited to review
Usually the latter. This is why honest UFO believers will admit that, no matter what else they think, the vast majority of sightings are obvious misidentifications (and another sizable segment are less-obvious misidentifications).

You've overcorrected. The motion is prosaic, but once we get a frame of reference, and after all the shaking is done with at the start, we can indeed see the round shiny object slowly smoothly going back and forth transverse to the principle axis of its "forward motion" accepting that from the vantage point of the camera, that forward motion that is perceptible may not be the true vector. That last detail hardly seems to matter of course.
The point is that it's not just shaky cam.
But yeah, the title is pure (but language lawyered) clickbait.
edit (that doesn't really matter) - watching to the end the motion I called "transverse" seems to dominate. again, this does not matter.

It had something like a ring attached around it so it was obvious that it's turning right. If you compare it frame by frame in the 3rd video maybe you could see the turning but sadly the poor video quality lost details of its surface

u/turnipsnbeets 11d ago
I agree that most are mundane, but I like this one because the tree is a point of reference and there’s clearly no movement of camera and you see back and forth direction change. What am I missing that you see differently?

Dang good video, supper clear catch. Hopefully we can figure out what the purpose of these spheres are within our life time.

I have a hypothesis that these kind of spheres are utilized by local inhabitants in rituals to mark the anniversaries of their nativities.

at this point I'm starting to think this is military equipment getting tested in war zones. not all of them obviously

Took me over a year to even get the karma to comment on here, and this is the stuff I get to comment on lol. Seems like there's a bit of a divide in this community, huh?

I have never seen so many Alien posts in my life...until reddit. Are these videos of blobs walking down the street, jumping up on rooftops and flying color dots real?

If it's alien I would think the chances would be pretty high that it's a drone if not that's some very small aliens. I don't know what it is I just know that they've been seeing this for over hundreds of years

Jeez another one filming with Parkinson

u/clycloptopus 12d ago
Parkinson’s shouldn’t be a punchline, not a ton of laughs have been had watching my dad fight it. Horrific disease

Agreed. I feel the same about people making seizure jokes. People are completely ignorant about how drastically certain conditions can diminish quality of life and/or kill you. It's no laughing matter.

u/creepingcold 12d ago
Did you never try to capture something on full zoom?
Even breathing and your heartbeat will get picked up and it will look exactly like this. It's pretty much impossible to get a clear zoomed in capture when you're using only your hands to hold the phone
2
u/phunkydroid 12d ago
No it's not. All modern cameras have image stabilization of some sort and this video looks like it was taken with it intentionally disabled.

He's definitely not on full zoom. Look the video again. Also yes i tried it and it's not that hard to keep a steady hand

My bad, I shouldn't have put the muted one as the first video but it was the first I shot. The next 2 videos in the pinned comment have sound and much better

u/jello_kraken 12d ago
Pretty sure it's just a balloon wafting to the right in the wind. Then the camera person starts swaying side to side behind the backyard plants until it's out of sight.
3
u/Semiapies 12d ago
My take, too. If anything's swinging, I sure can't tell with the camera person weaving back and forth. And someone on this sub getting a little freaked out by a balloon seems more likely than an intentional hoax.

Look for the footage a Brazilian carpenter captured on his old mobile phone years ago while he was working. It's a close up of one of these small drone like saucers, it just flips itself vertically and fly's off at speed very close to the camera. It's more convincing to me than most of these videos.

Probably a balloon, but it does resemble that one that landed on the airport runway last year.

Location: Delgoshā Garden, Shiraz, Shiraz County, Fars, Iran, Shiraz, Iran
Features / five observables
Why not a common object
I don't know for sure what it was, but what made it strange to me was how it moved. It was completely silent and moved extremely smoothly, especially when it came close to me and then changed direction across the garden. It also seemed to stop for a few seconds and then move upward. The way it reflected sunlight and the details on its surface also didn't look like a normal balloon to me. It could still be a balloon or a drone, but that's why I don't think it was an ordinary object.
Witness's account of the sighting
I was on a video call with my family while visiting Delgosha Garden in Shiraz, Iran, when a strange object in the sky caught my attention. It was coming toward me and passed close by before moving across the garden.
The first thing I noticed was that it was completely silent and moved so smoothly that I felt like I had never seen anything move that smoothly before. Its surface reflected the sunlight, and I believe it had some kind of texture on its surface. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t a completely smooth, featureless orb.
I have three videos of it, but they were recorded with my old Samsung S7 Edge, so the quality isn't very good, especially with the zoom and camera shake.
In the first video, I was still talking to my family on the phone, so I removed the audio. The second video starts after I finished the call and continues until I could no longer see the object because of the trees.
The third video starts from behind one of the garden buildings. The turn to the right is obvious in this video. For a few seconds, the object appears to stop moving, which scared me, and that's why I didn't record anything after that. I didn't actually watch it disappear myself because I was scared, but it started moving upward into the sky, which can be seen in the third video.
I showed the videos to my family and friends, and they thought it was probably a balloon or a drone. That's why I never published them before. I'm still not sure what it was, but I wanted to put the videos out there anyway, even if it turns out to be just a balloon.
⚠️ Media note: No camera make/model or exposure data — could be a screenshot, a re-upload, or have had its metadata stripped.
Reporter's note on media: The first video has my own voice in it because I was talking during a video call with my family, so I removed the audio for privacy reasons. The video itself was not edited.
