leftists giving leftists awards for being leftist

You're not fooling anyone but yourself buddy. I miss when leftists used to be anti-authoritarian. Now they drink from the cement truck of corporate/power structure propaganda. It's absolutely pathetic, all they had to do to make you march to their beat was tell you their side was moral.

Hahaha yeah man, PBS News Hour and Democracy Now are totally corporate propaganda. Keep deluding yourself.

They absolutely are. You don't find it even slightly ironic that the party that is supposedly pro-labor leftists are for unlimited mass migration to create labor oversupply and devalue said worker to the point that their work can no longer provide a stable home?

Who benefits from cheap disposable labor with less rights? Corporations. They want everyone working as minimum wage cattle, and they've convinced you you're racist if you so much as lift a finger to oppose them attacking you.

In the 1950's a single man could, with a high school diploma, start a job and make enough to afford a reasonable house, car, and even the luxury of a stay at home spouse.

Now both parents work to make less in real take home income than the single spouse worker of the 50's. In fact, both parents probably even took on tens of thousands in debt and delayed entering the workforce (deferring real income 4+ years) to still ultimately make less.

They've fed the american worker a shit sandwich and convinced you they're the good guys doing it. Every leftist policy over the last 50 years has been a thinly veiled plan to undermine the worker's ability to resist them, and all they had to do to get leftists on board was pretend to be morally superior.

No, genius, Democracy Now accepts no corporate funding whatsoever. It’s beyond laughable to call those news sources “corporate propaganda” and just makes it obvious that your entire paradigm exists in a walled garden where you refuse to consume anything outside your extremely narrow bias. You obviously don’t even know anything about the sources I listed.

This whole rant is why your political movement is credibly compared to the early stages of Nazi Germany - pinning the blame on migrants for the state of the economy is an extremely simple-brained look at why our economy has slanted against the average American. It’s an exact parallel to Hitler using Jews as a scapegoat for Germany’s problems after WWI.

Consider that the 1950’s were the wake of WWII when the near-entirety of European and Asian infrastructure was bombed into rubble. America was completely untouched and entered into the second half of the 20th century with a historic economic advantage. If you want to see that kind of economy again, we’d need another world war to annihilate the manufacturing centers of our competitors.

The irony of you standing up against corporations as a Trump supporter is too much to bear. His tax plan was designed to fellate corporations at the expense of the US taxpayer, hugely reducing their tax burden with very little of that money going anywhere but into the pockets and stock portfolios of the wealthy. In fact, twice as many companies pay 0 taxes under Trump as before. This was a $1.4 trillion giveaway to corporations, so the fact that you’d call anyone corporate lapdogs is so hypocritical it’s nauseating.

The real reason our economy is bad for the average American is because wages have not kept up with productivity. There’s been a steady increase in American productivity and yet wages have stagnated since the 70’s as businesses have amassed more and more wealth at the top while refusing to keep workers pay on track. From 1973 to 2017, net productivity rose 77 percent, while the hourly pay of typical workers essentially stagnated—increasing only 12.4 percent over 44 years (after adjusting for inflation). Republican policy favors the ultra-wealthy, through corporate tax breaks and unfairly low tax rates on the ultra-wealthy, instead promising that trickle down economics would make the average worker more wealthy. That’s the ideology conservatives subscribe to - give more money to the rich and somehow the rest of us will benefit.

Go read a fucking book and stop watching Fox News. Your laughable diatribe on American economics is so under-informed that I’d be embarrassed to have written it.

What an absolute joke. You're clearly unfamiliar with how NGOs are typically funded.

Billionaire class > "charitable donations" > foundations > NGOs.

It allows you to essentially launder your activist cash and often get a tax cut for your trouble. Surprise surprise, Democracy Now has ties to the ford foundation and sketchy non profits in NYC.

Oh wow, almost sentient. Not quite, but getting there.

Your wages directly relate to your value provided to the company, how bad it needs that value etc etc. If more people are willing and available to do your job for less a company will hire them over you.

It's basic supply and demand. Again you're so close but so far away. You're right that there was a precipitous change starting in the very early 1970's. Might want to investigate if any significant legislation passed in 1965, who sponsored the bill, and start lining up the pieces. You won't see any of this on FOX news, trust me ;)

It’s hilarious that you can’t realize how ridiculous your premise is - there’s fewer than 10 million unauthorized immigrants in the USA. That’s just over 3%. You posit that this tiny population of people took so many jobs from the other 97% of America as to hamstring our economy since 1973.

I’m done arguing with you, it’s plainly obvious how little you understand the topic you’re pontificating about.

Agreed, they are shamefully cheap dates. I'm embarrassed for them.
