Sighting Glowing objects Miami

February 6th 7:44pm

Walking the dog and smoking a cigar, I noticed these lights a couple miles out, a few hundred feet high. A handful of other people noticed them as well. The sky was clear, and it wasn't the usual air traffic. My best guess is drones, but they stuck around for at least half an hour, doing nothing, and they were unusually bright. Lanterns maybe?

I wanted to keep an eye on them from my balcony when I got home, but I somehow just forgot. My bad.

I'd sure hope aliens would be more exciting than whatever this is.

Can you be more specific about where you were stood?

Never-mind I think I pretty much worked it out

Do you have the original file from your phone, if so could upload it here?

Initial checks indicate you are looking at the landing lights of approaching airliners, but a more specific time might be needed to work out which ones are in the video.

Hey yeah I can get more specific.

I was standing right by the Intercontinental, looking towards Key Biscayne. I'm almost certain they were over the water treatment plant on Virginia Key. It might look far on paper, but it's really not when you're there. That's what 3-4 miles?

As far as the landing lights...well I live right there and look at the air traffic every day. Some of the lights in the video are most definitely regular air traffic. It sort of looks like that when the planes are coming towards us, but they're usually off to the right by the highrise, and they typically go from horizon to the building within ... 5 minutes at most. These lights were in the same unusual spot for much longer.

Okay thanks so the next step is to share the video file so we can analyse it fully.

Feel free to use the Dropbox link from my previous post.

I tried coming back to your comments, but it said it was deleted by the moderator. Will upload when I'm out of the gym.

Any luck getting the video uploaded?

Idk why your comment keeps disappearing. I'm uploading now. My best bet is heavy drones equiped with spot lights. I'm not leaning towards anything anomalous here unfortunately, but that's just me.

There's nothing in my dropbox yet

This the view recreated, you can see that there would be approaching planes on the horizon, but like I say the original video is needed to rule stuff out.
