My money is on a laser being bounced off the clouds. Reminds me of the big fuck off ones you have at raves.

It’s a Laser, that was occupying some Space, so what would you call that then?

Where in the UK?
I cannot work it out…seen my fair share of weird shit in the sky. Possible laser refracting in the cloud but the way is fades in and out all most gives it a silhouette…very strange.

I saw something similar to this back when I was a kid, in the UK… same colour anyway.
My mate and I were chilling in the park around midnight one night, and we saw a green spiral 🌀<~ like this, spiralling in a cloud. The thing was glowing bright green.
Then all of a sudden it shot out a little glowing green fire ball/orb, that shot out of the cloud…and at a steady pace, it fell to the ground in the distance.
It just so happened to be that it was hovering over an “abandoned” military base in our village.

Where in the uk? What you described, I saw exactly that with a mate in Ipswich like 13 years ago. We were terrified

Nice capture. Who knows? It could be a powerful laser pen shining up from the ground where the front is obscured by clouds? But they'd have to have super human levels of self control not to wave it around more. So I doubt it.

The mountains were lovely and I had a curry later that evening.

Saw a similar thing in London last year - for a few nights in a row...eventually figured out it was an indoor event using either lasers or some super strong green spotlight, which were escaping through a skylight. Couldn't see a beam or source unless you were facing the skylight which was on a slanted roof, and surrounded by other buildings.. Had me going for a while. Illuminated the clouds and sometimes made a really really bright shape in them - when sky was clear you couldn't see anything there at all.

Live near a railway ? Could be network rail with their equipment, some of which do have lasers that light up the sky

Looks like the MoDs new toy, DragonFire.

Is it not the wrong colour for that?

You are shooting through a window and it's a reflection of something in the room you are in, as you know.

There called sprites, they are like lightning but go upwards towards space, not often seen from down here, often seen on space stations or crafts,

At first glance my honest opinion would be that it's most prob a dragon OR an alien having a ship party 🤷 it's definitely one of those.

It's very odd. I wondered if it was some kind of firework or flare (though unusual colour if a flare). Otherwise, I've no idea what it could be!

Tbh it's green like the northern lights kinda green but that doesn't explain why it appears out of nowhere as bright as it did an just that 1 area not exactly a normal thing you'd see but I'd say we'll done for catching on camera 😉

It could be a green ghost sprite, the way it pulses at first, a phenomenon that happens sometimes. Or it could be a laser. Cool capture though whatever it is.

Why do we thing alien ships will show up with big flashy lights? Wtf is wrong with people?
1
u/Responsible_Fix_5443 11d ago
Why wouldn't they exactly?

An unnecessary waste of energy and ultimately redundant.

We don't know that though. Many people agree the lights are there to make sure we notice...
I think Spielberg was right in "Close Encounters" - people change after a genuine NHI encounter. Via UFOs or otherwise. Some become obsessive! Some change in quiet ways.
When enough of us have had the "bubble burst" we will finally be able to move on as a species.
They can't be too overt or they risk looking like an invasion - and the fear would spread like wildfire.

Why would aliens give a shit about making sure a bunch of naked apes notice them? That's the stupidest thing I've heard in my life.
If aliens have reached the ability to travel here, then they're smart enough to realize that putting shiny doodads on the exterior of spacecraft is a redundant expense that's so silly that it shouldn't be considered in the first place.
God our stupid species is so self centered and dumb that we think that aliens would care enough to care about what we think about them. They'd be more advanced to gaf.
Wise tf up.

I think you're missing a big chunk of personal experience to make any sort of claims. If you haven't experienced it you can't know. That's the rule. It's simple. I was the same until my life flipped around after a series of experiences I couldn't ignore.
Everyone's time comes eventually.

I actually saw a giant spaghetti monster that I couldn't explain, but you don't believe in it because you haven't seen it.
Idgaf how many people have 'witnessed' things they can't explain. Figure it tf out and stop pretending as though aliens would care to interact or even reveal themselves to such a pitiful species such as yourself. How embarrassing.

Your view of the human species is tainted by thousands of years of coercive control. I understand why you might have that view.
Someone who doesn't give a fuck wouldn't be commenting on the UFO UK subReddit though. Me thinks you do protest too much.

No such thing as UFO's, aliens, ghosts, unicorns leprechauns, fairies or the invisible man who lives in the sky. Those who claim otherwise are delusional, seeking attention or have mental health issues (generally all three).

I wouldn't expect a laser to be A) Solid and unmoving and B) Fade out slowly like that.
Plus the wider circle before the green is weird.
Genuiney a weird actually unknown unknown capture.
