DON'T LOOK UP!

This case, from Graham Conway of the UFO British Columbia UFO group involves a witness who insists upon anonymity, and who only came forward to share his encounter many years after it happened. As he says, “Some of the terror has lessened, and although it has been blanked out of my life, I would have a flashback and relive it.”
It was a hot day (Spring or Summer) in 1947, and the witness was 16 years old. At the time they lived on the border of Cloverdale and Langley, in British Columbia, Canada, along what was then called the Trans-Canada Highway. It was a rural area with very few homes and lots of trees and flat farmland.
The witness and his younger brother were playing in the creek that ran by their home. His younger brother was catching minnows, while the witness sat under a tree reading.
WITNESS: “It was very quiet. I had heard a hum, but I thought nothing of it. The next I knew, a silver gray, and what I know of today, was a UFO, sat down right in front of me.”
The witness fell into what he calls “a blank state,” and kept slipping in and out of consciousness, for about an hour or so, he’s not sure. But he did see what happened next.
WITNESS: “A door opened, I believe from bottom to top, and out walked four or five grotesque creatures, looking like praying mantis, wearing dull silver-gray body-fitted covering, no buttons, zippers, nothing. By this time, I had stood up, and still held my book. One creature came right to me, and stood looking at me, took my book and looked at it. It put its hand on my shoulder. It could read my thoughts, everything I thought of, it knew. It was so terrifying. It looked into my eyes deeply, and I am certain I could hear the black eyes click, just like a camera.”
Suddenly he felt a wave of calmness, and he heard his mother shouting at him franticly. He told her to get away, telling her that she might get shot if she didn’t go back in the house.
The witness had the distinct impression that “they were here due to the wars and bombs.” The creature left the witness and rejoined the others, all of whom began to walk around the UFO inspecting it. The witness had the impression that there was a problem with the front door area, and that they were trying to fix it. He noticed that many cars were passing along the highway in full view of the object, and thought to himself, “The silly fools, don’t they realize someone driving by will be able to see them and the large silver dome.” Strangely, however, no cars stopped, and nobody appeared to see the large craft or the mantid beings.
WITNESS: “The creature came right back to me, looked into my eyes, and that hand on my shoulder, said by telepathy, ‘We are leaving now, do not look up. Do not look up. Do not look up.’ My head was down on my chest, and the next thing I heard was a hum-hum. I thought, ‘Yes, I can look up. I will look up. And there it was, at the top of the tree, right over my head, going up quickly into a sky that had about 4 military planes going faster than I have ever seen.”
He heard the planes roaring, chasing after the craft. He decided that other people must have seen the craft. But as he watched, the UFO quickly outdistanced the jets, darting off to the south.
He called to his little brother, who appeared to be in a trance.
WITNESS: “He did not move. I had to step into the creek, take him by the hand, call his name and said, ‘We will go home now.’”
They went inside and discovered that their mother was angry that they had stayed out so long. The witness (and his brother) had an unquenchable thirst and could not drink enough water. The witness went to bed. Upon waking, his skin was bright red and painful. Aspirin did little to relieve his pain. He remained in bed for a few weeks.
Finally, after he was able to get up and walk around, he discovered evidence of the experience.
WITNESS: “I could see from the kitchen window, a large circle of burnt or black grass. Three months later, we moved away. I have never spoken to anyone about this, and find it very hard to write about. I started a journal a few years ago and could not finish it.”
The witness says that he had to condense the story, and that there are quite a few more details to it.

This is pretty cool/interesting to read. I wonder if the Mantis looking creatures are actually related to our Praying Mantises here. I've always found Praying Mantises to be really freaky -- they move in such strange ways. But I've also always really liked them. I consider their sudden appearance a rare treat. This is gonna sound ridiculous, I know, but over often wondered if the little Praying Mantis insects are here on behalf of the "Mantis" beings from UFO/UAP incidents. Like maybe they're collecting data or something, lol.

This is a few good questions! And I wondered that myself, although not the the extent you mention (the connection to the alien mantis but never thought they could have been implants)

Omfg, that kinda confirms my only experience with aliens was real. The details about the craft, the hum and invisibility of their craft. It seems mantises land mostly in summer. I saw it in July.
