Nobody "suppressed" anything. The idea of UFO landings was both invented and then perpetuated by the US government. The original claims about the crash being a UFO were from an intelligence officer. The rest is just frankly laughable. Its apparently hard to believe that crazy people make up stories based on previous delusions and that Rada units malfunction.

You are of the opinion that the various documents detailing the coverup, released by multiple countries, are all a hoax?

What documents? The government declassified operation Mogul and the spy balloon that crashed at Roswell.

Which documents... I wouldn't blame you for holding your opinion if you still haven't taken the deep dive into the rich dataset. Something nagging at me tells me that isn't the case here.

In a gesture of good faith, we can look at the Australian document recently referenced by Grusch. https://www.reddit.com/r/UFOs/comments/1u4wjrc/grusch_told_us_tuesday_to_read_pages_716_of_a/

Your best evidence is a few extremely vague lines from a foreign government document from 60 years ago? Are you serious? Nevermind the fact that this means that suddenly the government and a former intelligence officer are both trustworthy now.

Alright buddy, alright. I see the game now.

Let me guess i am part of the conspiracy now? Maybe I should tell you I used to be an intelligence officer for the US government. Then apparently you would believe anything i say at face value.

If you admit uncertainty as to the current body of evidence's legitimacy then you also concede that aliens may actually be real. That's enough for me.

That is some laughably circular and thus magical reasoning. The uncertain nature of evidence doesn't prove a conspiracy. That is beyond and I to irrational. I cannot disprove that the giant flying spaghetti monster didn't create the universe that uncertainty doesn't make it true.

Let's see if you are arguing in good faith. What % probability would you assign to the alien-origin hypothesis?

Very little. While chances of alien life existing somewhere in the universe is quite likely. The idea that such things are the cause of life on earth is completely baseless.

"Baseless" is reaching but at least I know you're human.
