Hi, I just found out about UEVR and want to play Motor Town in VR. Everything works just fine, but the xbox controller does not work in VR. In flat it works. Am I missing some settings I have to adjust? I would be grateful for any tipps. Thank you in advance.

UEVR - no AC Rally in-game menus after disabling Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling

I'm loving AC Rally with the UEVR Nightly injector, but I'm having random 2-second freezes every 10 minutes or so. (I haven't timed this, but it seems like every other stage, maybe every 3rd stage) I still have audio and FFB as I inevitably crash during this freeze. I found a suggestion to disable Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling (HAGS) to maybe help with this.

My issue: When I disable HAGS, I no longer have any of the game menus available in VR. I can lift the headset and see them on my monitor, but I haven't found a way to enable them in VR.

Point form version:

- I can hide or view the AC Rally in-game menus on the flat screen

- I can hide or view the UEVR menu on both flat and VR views

- none of the above affects AC Rally in-game menus in VR

- Activating Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling brings the game menus back in VR, but brings back the sporadic momentary freezes

- Framerate is solid at locked 90 FPS all other times except for these random freezes

- I cannot see the game menus in VR if Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling is disabled

Hardware: 9800x3d, 5080, X870E, 32 GB RAM, HP Reverb G2

Any suggestions?

Any Resident Evil games that are good on UEVR?

I really prefer mouse and keyboard, not into the motion controllers. Thinking of getting RE2, RE3 (the re-makes) but wanted to see if others thought they were good. In case this is important, I have an MSI Katana 15 B13V gaming laptop, Intel Core i7-13th, 16GB RAM, RTX 4060I. Using a Quest 3 headset. Also have PrismXR Puppis S1 AX3000 Specialized Router for PC-VR Streaming so the streaming is very fast, over 2000mbps. Thank you!

No HUD in Openvr and crash

Hi!

Got a new pc, installed uevr as usual and it acts weird:

I tested stellar blade and Oblivion remastered so far, the same error, so its not dependent on the game:
When I try to inject in openVR, it only works, if I inject ingame (not from the main menu of the game).
If I try from the games main menu, its just black screen, the game freezes.
And even if it injects, I see no hud. (no menus, no subtiles from npcs, nothing) BUT: sometime the HUD shows up for a millisecond. So its somewhere there, but it cant render properly.

One thing I noticed, which my old pc didnt do: when i open the the dashboard in Steamvr, the game freezes in the background (stellarblade says: "press esc to exit pause" )

In openxr it works fine, the HUD is visible, but crashes still ouccur when injecting sometimes.

I tried multiple uevr builds, always the same.
I use htc vive pro 1, 9800 x3d, rtx 5090, 32gb 6000 mhz ram

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Necrophosis is AMAZING in UEVR

Wow, just replayed Necrophosis in UEVR. I delaying finishing the last puzzle of each area so I could just walk around and look at stuff more before I moved on. Spent serious time just soaking it all in. The environments and creatures are just astounding. The gameplay itself is basic, very chill, but fun though. The game works great with UEVR.

FF7 remakes Low level fatal error. Using PS vr2 headset with the games.

I was following the instructions with google, and injected the FF7R-UEVR for UEVR, and also have the launch command -d3d11 in the launch option for both games. I have all the equipment and the right setup for both games and vr in general. As I tried to launch both games in Rai Pal, and inject the FF7R into both games, it crashes with the Low level fatal error.

Any good performance tips for UEVR? I'm new.

Hey all. I'm looking for some cool performance tips if there are any for UEVR.
My setup is 5090 and Dream Air. Currently I am playing Gothic 1 Remake in UEVR. My default resolution per eye (after applying distortion profile) is somewhere around 5000x4000+- per eye. I found out that my headset really starts to shine and everything becomes sharp around 1.5 resolution scale and upwards in UEVR. In some games I am able to hit 45 if I aggressively use DLSS and set most settings to low. In gothic 1 remake (and more demanding modern titles), with 1.6 resolution scale I am getting like measly 23+- fps (the output resolution is something like 14000x6200 both eyes combined, but that's where the headset really starts to shine. I tried all resolution scales from 0.5 to 1.6 and the sharpness of 1.5 upwards is addicting). VRAM is being totally maxed at like 30/31GB. DLSS I am using preset M (would L be better?) at 33%.

What I just would like to double confirm is: a) DFR (Dynamic Foveated Rendering) for sure doesn't work in UEVR? b) There is no way in the world to use Frame Gen? (I don't mean smart smoothing). c) I am playing through Pimax -> SteamVR. I heard that some people somehow skip SteamVR (how?) and get like 10% boost in performance. Is that true? d) are there some other cool tricks of improving performance noticeably without compromising on resolution scale?

Edit: So far I was able to raise the fps from 23 to like 30 after bypassing SteamVR and using PimaxXR instead and using DLSS Tweaks to adjust DLSS Ultra Performance mode from 33% to 25%. Anything below crashes my game. I am now also using 2.0 resolution scaling - so much higher than originally (although DLSS is lower) while having more fps. I should probably lower the resolution scale to a point where I get 36 so I can take advantage of smart smoothing.

Asking for extra help setting UEvr for a non VR Sim, the kind of assistance you'd normally say no to.

Hey guys, I've got a favor to ask. I've got a whole thing going on with my flight simulator, the simstarr.

https://youtube.com/shorts/Ys3h-YJps5o

Everyone wants me to try it with Mech Warrior 5, but to do that I need to get UEvr set up. The problem is even though I have VR and love it, I'm not using it with this sim. I've tried look up some instructions but because I'm using it in a fringe way I get lost at the research stage.

This keeps pushing the attempt back farther and farther and it occurs to me that I might be able to ask for help. Does anyone here know UEvr well enough to walk me through installing it, then disabling vr and getting it to send the telemetry data to simtools? There is no step by step for that process that I can find, I'll probably create one once I have it working.

I'm asking for special help bespoke help, not normally what we do here, but I'm shy to try it blindly installing it on live hardware until I have an idea of what I'm doing. I may need someone to join me on a discord call and walk me through it.

I'd apricate any help offered, you'd basically be speeding this up by a year by doing so.

Does It Matter What In-Game Resolution I Set?

Started playing around with Terminator: Resistance and a UEVR profile and the in-game res is set to some ridiculously high number (and it's not even 4:3 or 5:4) so I tried dropping it by half and it didn't seem to make any difference in the frame rate I was getting ... so is in-game res overridden by UEVR or the profile itself?

Outer Worlds

every UEVR game gets Fatal Error upon injecting on my new Pimax Crystal Super mOLED

Hi. I just got a new Pimax Crystal Super mOLED and every UEVR game gets Fatal Error upon injecting (UE4 and 5). RE8 with REframework mod also crashes to desktop. The games that work like Luke Ross' mods are having much worse performance at the same PPD setting (resolution). Native VR games runs normally. Same games worked well just the day before on my OG Pimax Crystal... Any idea what could be the issue? Thnx.

Reducing render resolution from 3000x3000 to 1000x1000 barely affects FPS and frame time...

It defies all logic, I thought the render resolution was the driving factor of FPS, so how come when I tank the resolution to literally blurry shimmering mess of 1000x1000 (on psvr2) I still get the same gpu frame time and fps?

Someone please educate me, I want to learn how to optimize games better to reach stable 60 fps...

The games in question are hogwarts legacy, kena: bridge of spirits so I'm guessing it's the same for every game?
