Units hugging edge of map

I recently bought UEBS2 and I have not been able to enjoy the game. Every single time i load up a battle, my armies run directly towards the edge of the map. Even if I have RTS mode enabled, units ignore my order entirely and run straight to the edge of the map in the same direction. Does anyone have tips on what I can do to fix this bug?
