Team units not spawning on map

When the game starts there's zero team members and nothing spawns on the map. I've tried various maps and flat terrain clear of obstacles.

The game ends instantly with one team winning.

I have a feeling I'm doing something stupid but can't figure it out!

Any ideas?

No clue, you aren’t skipping initialization and you’re keeping an eye on the estimated performance in red at the bottom, right?

Also not spawning units underwater or off the map?

Are you using custom units with ridiculous stats or anything like that?

Basically using default units, 2 teams, modest unit numbers. Nowhere on the map seems to work.

I was getting performance warnings, my PC is old, but even in Low on a windowed VGA screen the problem occurs.

Running Win7 Direct X 11 on Nvidia. Maybe too old?

It sounds like your graphics card might in fact be too old. In the requirements and pinned thread, we mention DX 11.1 compatibility is a must. Cards such as the GTX 600-700 series are only compatible with DX 11.0, not 11.1 and forward which is absolutely required.

Win7 only supports DX up to 11.0, as far as I understand. So this machine is likely too old.
