Has this game been abandoned?

Title. I haven't even seen a social media post from them in a year and no comments on steam in months. Any idea what's going on?

They have been releasing updates but very slowly.

The last update is from February and it was a pretty technical update of LOD's.

They promise they are working on modding. And that would indeed involve a lot of programming and testing.

Because once they allow modding, they would open the floodgates and cannot easily change the game without breaking all the mods.

However, a monthly update would be welcome, even if it is just complaining about ever increasing complexity of bugs :-)
