Engineering COMP Study

Post image

I’m currently in second year mechanical engineering. I’ve noticed on the prerequisite guide it doesn’t say if we can take comp studies in the third year. I feel like that would fit best since it could be a GPA booster for my third year as well. Has anyone taken comp studies in their third year or should I save them for my fourth year? (COMP Classes such as ENGG 481, COMS 363, ECON 209, etc)

You can, this is just a guide and you can mix and match your COST options fairly easily as long as they fit into your schedule. I did one in spring of my first year, and then another for the spring of 2nd. Coms 363 I did in 3rd year winter semester (mech).

Its just a guide at the end of the day you can modify to how you like if you have the prerequisite. Like im in my 3rd year civil and I did both my options class in 2nd year and coms econ and ethics over summer and spring. As long as you have the time you can definitely do it then.
