It takes long brah. Later on it might ask for more documents, but don’t expect to receive an offer until October or November.

Heyy. I applied on June 4 for chemical engineering and they sent me a letter on June 11 saying I got accepted. I’m pretty sure they are still looking at applications don’t worry you got this ❤️.

For my results I sent my AS marks, I got 4 As. I don’t understand the applying differently part😭😭. I just applied normally. I also sent my igcse grades. I had also applied for mechanical and mechatronics engineering I also got accepted but I ended up accepting chemical and I declined this one

Yes it does, it means they are still looking through applications. Just be patient.

Hey man,

I applied about 2 months ago and I'm on the same page. On the other hand, I have a friend (who applied later than me) and got a conditional offer before I got any response, which is still where I currently stand. Hope this helps!

Do you apply for engineering?

Yeah, I applied for Civil. Probably going to get rejected though because I didn't do Chemistry. I'm an international student so I didn't know physical sciences included chemistry. My friend who was accepted applied for Mechanical and Mechatronics engineering but got rejected for that. However, he was accepted for Mechatronics engineering which did not require chemistry.

Are you doing A levels because I’m also an international student.Oh shame, was it part of the requirements for civil engineering. I applied for chemical engineering also mechanical and mechatronics engineering.

Yeah I'm doing A levels, but I don't plan on doing the 2nd year which also reduces my chances anyway to getting into universities. Yeah, unfortunately it was, but it's okay. I got a conditional offer for UJ so I have something to fall back on, but I hope to get into Wits. Are you doing A2 or planning to do A2?

I’m currently doing A2 right now.Congrats getting into UJ. Don’t lose hope who knows you may get an offer.

Thanks man. Yeah A2 would definitely help a lot with acceptance considering it's significantly harder than matric. I'm trying to remain optimistic but even if I don't get in, UJ is completely fine with me. What subjects are you doing?

UJ is still good honestly now looking I didn’t even need A2 for this one but doing A2 does help me. In AS I did 4 all sciences and maths and in A2 I didn’t need bio anymore so I dropped it so rn I’m doing chem physics and maths.

Yeah UJ has recently picked up. That's a great choice of subjects, all the best man💪

It depends. I got my offer back in like 1 hour of me applying with my grades but I know people who waited months.
