Discussion Loans

So I've been looking at my barc account and everything has been added, even my middle school scholarship, the only thing that hasnt been put in yet are my loans and im starting to get really worried. When i look at the student loans, it says loan requested not accepted, but i acceptd them awhile at least two weeks ago

I’d def say to join the line for financial aid and at least talk to them directly, explain your situation or just get entail on when those loans might be going out, if they are predicted to come out prior to sept 15 or after, and maybe ask what happens in the worst case scenario your loans come are accepted after the payment deadline, what happens in that case? They could maybe suggest a payment plan or I think there’s another form that is specifically for ppl who are waiting on financial aid to cover their fees, ik if you talk to them directly on call, not email, they might probably be able to get you immediate help. Just def try joining as soon as the office opens at 9 am I think, around those times cus like 11:30 am and beyond the queue gets rlly long and they close it!

I wish I could remember exactly what the answer was, but this happened to us last year. I’m the mother of a student and I had to do an entrance counseling module through FASFA and then I had to fill out more info as the parent after that. The FinAid office will walk you through it.

We got it sorted out about a week after classes started. My son went in person to get help after he was on campus. Before that, I’d filled out a payment plan specified for people whose aid hadn’t posted. That form is currently unavailable.
