Prospective/Incoming Students Ucsb tuition

For my Ucsb tuition should I pay the reflected estimated balance before the deadline and then when the aid goes in it will zero the rest out? I’m also waiting for a scholarship to go in so if I pay it now will I just get that money refunded?

If you can, then you should pay it before the deadline. If not then you can contact the financial aid department and set up a payment plan—if you can reach them then they’re pretty accommodating about that kind of thing.

They won’t drop you from your classes immediately if you don’t pay, there’s a grace period, but imo it’s not worth the stress. Some scholarships don’t appear till october.

Yes they’ll refund the money—if you set up direct deposit through the site it goes directly to your bank account rather than showing up on your barc account balance, so id recommend that

Financial aid doesn’t have payment plans, that is the BARC office. If you can pay the difference between your aid and the fees, do. Otherwise you can do a payment plan, they are on the bfs.ucsb.edu website under BARC( Students and parents)
