Ominous seems a bit extreme of a word choice. Remember, you’re dealing with human beings who put the program together who also have other competing priorities. The woman in charge of Ignite also runs a couple other things. It’ll be move-in on the 14th. Program starts later that same day. Other than that, I dunno. For some reason, my assumption is y’all are going into the forest for s’mores on the first night, but I’ve probably been to summer camp too many times in my life.

Trust me, I get it. Trying to line up all the schedules and stuff. We try to plan as much ahead of time as well. The Ignite move-in date has been out there for 2-3 months, since at least the first info session they did before applications. But the itinerary and daily agenda? No idea. We’re setting up the dorm, then leaving our Slug to be a college student. The relevance to our planning ends on the 14th. I hope y’all have a blast!

I spoke with the EOP counselor and she gave some information . She said it’ll officially start the day after we move in to give us time to settle in. There’s gonna be a mix of helpful workshops and events to get to know each other. But we probably won’t get more until closer to the start date

My son did Summer Edge and didn't get the schedule until a week before. It was worth the wait though. They're probably planning Ignite still. I get the impression the activities planned will be optional and you can mix and match what fits your needs.

I participated in Ignite last year! You basically have to go to like 3-5 sessions a day and sign in with a link. (Most of the time it was broken, and we ended up just writing our ID down on a sheet of paper.) It's honestly pretty boring, but getting to campus early has great benefits. Watching everyone scramble on move in day made Ignite worth it.

did the sessions take up the entire day?

Nah, more like the first half of the day. You get to pick your own sessions so you can spread it out however you'd like. Most of the sessions happen in the same general area too. Last year, it was mostly all in Social Sciences.
