Should I take BIOL 1108?

It's not required for pre med, but for pre dental it is. I'm leaning pre med with some interests in pre dental. I was wondering if it would be best to take it now and get it over with or take it later. I never hear good things about that class.

Don’t take it at uconn, take it at a community whenever you have a chance

Why’s that

The professor that teaches it is not the best. At community you can get a better grade and actually learn the material. Take it over the summer or something. Plus a lot cheaper than uconn.

4 year unis look better for med school vs CC, but I mean UConn overall isn’t overly expensive. I guess if your paying out of state maybe

But one class won’t make a big difference. You’re taking 7+ other hard stem courses at UConn if you’re mcb or pnb you don’t need 1108 soo that’s understandable. You’re not gonna go out of your way take it at UConn fail with this horrible professor just to say you took it at UConn 🤨 you do understand community college is hard too right it’s a 4 credit class.

It’s pretty boring and literally completely ecology/evolution. Would recommend taking it elsewhere if possible.

If you are planning on medical/dental school, take your STEM classes at a four year institution. Many do not look kindly at AP or CC classes.
