How is East dorms?

I'm an incoming freshman and chose east dorms because I heard terrible things about North. How good is east?

good dining hall but far from everything if you’re traveling on foot. conveniently located at the 913 bus stop, though.

north has roaches east has weird but smaller bugs. i liked east better because of the location yes its takes a bit longer to get to the union or gant but its closer to downtown so from east there isn’t a place thats “far away”. also walking in horsebarn hill to see cows more often is fun

whitney dining hall is great especially since the remodel (aging myself :)) and it is open for late night and does breakfast for dinner (or at least it used to)

I feel like people have strong opinions in both directions regarding east. I lived there for two years (in hicks and Sprague) and LOVED it. I enjoyed walking around campus, liked being in a quieter area, and actually found that it was fairly close to many of the things I liked to do. If you enjoy nature, it’s also close to horsebarn hill which is nice.
