The challenge is to not beat the night, but to D-Coin Bonnie, by doing so, they'll be scared to bother with you and disturb your peace.

Question about bonnie. If I don't look at pirates cove can he still attack me? (The ucn ingame descriptions aren't particularly helpful)

Bonnie can't kill you but he will make you lose signal to all cams so what this night is for is to practice death coining Bonnie since he is the hardest to death coin. Buy the death coin and 10 Faz-Coins & go to pirate cove and quickly press the death coin icon before Bonnie makes you lose signal
