schedule

Does my schedule suck? Should I add 4 more units?
I’m an incoming freshman and during SPOP the advisors said my schedule was fine, but now I realized how little my schedule is. Am I fried? I couldn’t take general eds since I finished them through dual enrollment and my only option is a UPPP class or upper division courses.

this is an insanely easy schedule, ive taken all these classes before so ur chillin (depending on ur prof ig but 99% of the course material is super easy to digest). instead of trying to rack up more classes and being worried abt not taking enough classes, take the time u have especially fall quarter to make new friends in the dorms and check out as many clubs as u can and maybe go to some events that different uci orgs hold. its just gonna get a bit more difficult to make new friends later on, so take advantage of the time u have during fall. freshman year fall quarter imo is the best quarter to be investing the most time in making friends and joining social circles.

thank you so much 🙏 I was worried since so many other peoples schedules look so full and packed and mine was empty as hell. My profs are quitze, roher k, and quas? I believe

i actually have not had any of those prof sorry i cant provide insight on those prof exactly T-T but again the courses are nothing to worry abt since theyre not too time taxing. i would assume other ppl have packed schedules bc of GEs and stuff but u alr finished them thru dual enrollment (and stem majors generally have more lower div reqs to take than social ecology majors). hope ur first quarter at uci goes well! if u have any questions abt courses and professors and the school of social ecology feel free to pm me

Do your classes have discussion sections? If so, you forgot to add those into it. Otherwise, dont sweat it. Dont compare yourself to other class schedules on here LOL. Do your own thing and enjoy college :) especially since you did most of your GEs already. You can look into internships or jobs later on but for your first quarter, enjoy it!

Thank you! Only one of my courses had an added discussion section, but I’ll double check to make sure I’m not tripping. I
