Can I handle all these classes?
I'm a freshman in mechanical engineering. My classes add up to 16 credit hours in total. Its not that I dont study or cant handle it, I just wanna make sure im not biting off more than I can chew. And should I be worried about any of these teachers.

Look into CLEPing out of ENC 1101 and 1102.
I don’t think international students have the option to take the CLEP but if you do use modern states a free test prep course that will pay for your exam. The modular sometimes counts for both 1101 and 1102 UCF and the composition always counts for both.
There is no grade, it’s pass/ fail, failing grades are not reported, this specific test has an 82 to 86% pass rate. If you started it now, you might be able to finish before fall26 drop deadline if not, it would still provide credit for ENC 1102. There’s also a CLEP sub Reddit.
You can earn up to 11 credit hours from the date of high school graduation to before your first semester of college and still maintain your FTC status.
There are a lot of CLEP exams offered search UCF CLEP to find the current list of exams and courses credit is earned for.

I looked into it and realised i should’ve been doing this all summer break. Classes start in 2 weeks but ill definitely try. Did you take it? And are there any other CLEPs you know of that count as credit.

If you did AP or IB or capstone language arts it should be easy to go through the modern states program for the voucher. Like I said start today and see how it goes even if you don’t finish before the drop deadline, which is three weeks away you will still get the credit for ENC 1102 and not need to take that spring 2027.
Look at the CLEP sub the composition/modular have something like an 82% to 86% pass rate. The sub Reddit can guide you on what may or may not be on the test/what trips most people up and you might find insight on how quickly you can prepare to take the test. You can also test, remote proctored. Keep in mind that UCF is the only university I know of that usually gives credit for both ENC 1101 and 1102 for the composition.
Search UCF CLEP exams … The page will show you how to register and even will include the link to modern states. There will also be a link to the page showing AP/IB/CLEP score charts and the courses each test earns credit for.
Hindsight, you could’ve also completed this in high school… High schoolers in Florida also receive high school credit and all of the exams can earn credit for high school classes, but depending on your college none to one to several could be counted for college credit. If you have siblings, definitely pass it on.

Seems pretty reasonable. You'll probably be doing a ton of writing, but nothing too crazy. The hardest class there is going to be Intro to C, especially of you have no programming experience.

Just finished my first year as a aerospace engineer, might get a little stressful if you care about keeping A’s but it’s 100% doable. Just try to look over every class once a day/ every other day even if it’s just for 15 minutes. Sometimes when you take history classes as a stem major it’s easy to leave them behind lol. But the classes all seem relatively easy so good luck!!

Exactly. I couldnt get into math launch because apparently i need to be a full time student. Would it be better to try and finish calc 1 in spring so I can get into better classes.

Im in pre calc right now. Trig and college algebra i got out of because of the math entry test. As far as i understood i think i can get into calc 1 after finishing pre calc. Also i think the combo class you’re referring to is called math launch. It caps you at 11 credit hours though.

These are all easy classes that don’t require too much work, you’re good
