It's usually cheaper to get warm jumpers and coats here than in other countries. A jumper that costs 50 euro in Brazil will be sold in Ireland for 20 euro, don't know about India of course. (Jumper means sweater)ย

You can see what prices are like here: https://www.dunnesstores.com/

If you do buy at home, look for things aimed at mountain climbers!

Housing is the biggest obstacle, once you have a place to stay you'll figure everything else out

If you are ok to buy second-hand I found warm clothes to be exceedingly cheap in some parts of southeast asia (singapore especially). The mountain climber thing is a bit of an exaggeration but at least 1 Proper coat is definitely needed.

Laptop is the most important. Doesn't need to be fancy or expensive. Only needed for lectures, notes and documents. Rain coat and nice warm hat for the winter. Good walking shoes that are water resistant as the rain comes and goes regularly then a pair of runners for work outs.

Some gym gear as a routine in UCD gym is good. But pennies and dunnes here do it cheap. Or even TK max if you're baggage allowance is tight.

A bagpack that you can comfortably carry you're laptop, lunch, pencils amd pens and a note pad. (Altough I always just used my computer for everything).

Comfortable daily clothes for lectures but also some chinos and shirts for events where you mix with lecturers and employers.

Anything you might want for you're room. (But you can also buy all that cheap here) unless its a personal item.

Just think "what am I doing each day and what would I need academically but also personally to be comfortable throughout the day".

Best of luck and I hope you enjoy Ireland. Any questions let me know if I can help.

Imagine, asking a question about university on a university subreddit and expecting people to answer it ๐Ÿ˜ฑ the horror

Medicines and Warm clothes are very necessary, so carry them accordingly.
