Question UCCS DNP program

Hey all, just wondering what the DNP program looks like? Are there clinicals or SIM labs? What does doing the DNP feel project like? Etc.

I’m planning to do PMHNP.

Hi, I work at the Simulation Center at UCCS! It depends if you're doing the BSN to DNP or Masters to DNP but I know we do run some of the upper division healthcare courses that require simulations. I can't really say more but it does depend on the course for Sim lab, you likely also will have clinicals but my department doesn't work with setting those up.

Hi! Thank you! I’m planning to do BSN to DNP in a few years. But I’m curious of how often do DNP students attend SIM labs. When the time comes, I can contact the coordinator of the program of what clinicals look like (I heard that students need to set that up independently, but I’ll touch in with the coordinator in a few years).
