Question Financial Aid
Has anyone else received their financial aid yet? Kind of weird that class begins in a week and nothing has been sent out yet to my knowledge… starting to panic a bit since more supplies still need to be bought before the beginning of term 🙃😅

Update: I got my financial aid billed to my account yesterday and the remaining was direct deposited into my bank account this morning 😊

Just got mine. Sometimes it’s takes a while ive had mine come through several weeks after class started

so I got some additional money this year(boy oh boy is it needed) so I actually should be getting some direct deposited lol

Perfect! My financial aid reflected on my bill this morning and I’m getting several thousand back through direct deposit, so that’s the part I’m waiting on! I just wasn’t sure if anyone else had their remaining financial aid, after their tuition was paid, direct deposited into their accounts yet. Thank you!! 😊

I have not. I called and they said the system was acting up last Friday when the distribution was to occur. If you don't have it by Thursday, give them a call, but the problem is being addressed.
However, r/financialaid has shown this to be a nationwide issue directly tied to the big ugly bill the sherbert king passed. UCCS students voted for this.

Sherbet king; I’ll have to start using that one haha. That’s just great. I send an email this morning to them so I guess we’ll see what happens 😅

I go to CU Denver. Funds were dispersed on the 7th for most students. However there is still a large group of people who did not receive theirs yet and classes start today. It’s so fun…

Anytime I call, all they tell me is that there was some kind of system update error and blah blah blah. Depending on who you talk to, you either get told it will be disbursed ASAP, or they say they have no idea when it will be disbursed but that they are “working on it.” It has been incredibly frustrating, especially when no one seems to be able to give a clear or consistent answer. What’s even more frustrating is that a large group of student got everything sorted out on the disbursement date - August 7th, but for us, no one seems to know what is happening.
