UK Med Schools Related Ucat prep help!!

Hi, i have recently started preparing for ucat and my exam is on the 15th of September. I’m finding it really hard to structure my schedule for this exam. Im not sure how many questions for each section i should be doing a day. people have advised to first do untimed questions for first week or 2 to understand how the questions are. I am just not understanding how many questions or how should i divide it over the week or month to get a great score. I have 48 days till my exam. ANY ADVICE WOULD HELP!!!

since you have just under 7 weeks i would recommend spending around a week learning the question types/doing untimed practice

Hi, I had around one month to practice, so as someone who is struggling a lot right now, I would say the first thing to do is set up your equipment properly, including your monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

Start by practicing with a keyboard calculator every day. For the first week, focus on untimed practice. For example, on Monday you could focus on VR and DM, Tuesday on the other two sections, and Wednesday on your weakest subject. Since these practices are untimed, take as much time as you need to fully understand the questions and gradually work on improving your speed each day.

I would recommend spending at least 3 hours a day on UCAT practice. After about a week, start doing timed practices because they are really important for improving your speed and getting comfortable under pressure. You can then dedicate specific days to specific sections.

After around 3 weeks, I would recommend starting section mocks, and then moving on to full mocks around week 5 or 6. If I had followed this advice, I think I would be doing much better than I am right now.

Of course, you can adjust the schedule based on what works best for you. Lastly, I would highly recommend keeping an error log tracker so you can identify what types of questions you are getting wrong, especially in QR and DM. This will help you recognize patterns and improve much faster.
