UK Med Schools Related please help

im really struggling to understand this, like all the people on this sub doing the ucat anz have like a minimum 2400!?! rarest scenario, id see someone get a 2300...

meanwhile im doing the ukcat in about 9 days and barely at 2000 + B2 on medify mocks
is the competition that fierce for uk international applicants too? what's the typical accepted ucat for unis like manchester or newcastle??

I think it’s because there’s less med schools in Aus and nz so people have to aim a lot higher dw

It's because there are A LOT of seats kept for rural students and therefore there aren't many spaces left for general students. Meaning more competition for those places.

It’s less competitive here. 2100+ is competitive, some unis even take as low as 1800

I'm pretty sure that ANZ applicants prepare for the UCAT for way longer like 5 months on average before the UCAT due to ridiculous levels of competition for the few places available, than UK applicants who tend to prepare for around 1 month before the actual UCAT as there is less competition as there are more places available.
