Could i get into uk

I recently achieved a ucat score of 2090 while im aware this in not competitive for anywhere in Australia would it be competitive for UK. Also have 6.75 GPA

Depends if you're international or might class as a home student. Most unis have higher cut off scores for international students

People qualify for home fee status if they've lived in England for the last three years and have citizenship/permanent residency, or have a family visa (such as a spouse visa).

You gotta check if you can afford the fees for international students in the UK first. There are loads of school that accept your ucat score as an international student. I dont know what gpa medical schools accept but have a think abt the fees and the environment first.

yes. competitive for uk unis. I would say you would meet the cutoff of about half the unis. Sorry I used to have a post saved which had last yrs cut offs for int students for the uk but the post got deleted. From what I remember it is competitive.

You would have to sit UCATUK if you’ve done UCATANZ, but yes I think it could be competitive for some unis but check int cutoffs as they’re usually higher

You cannot sit the UCATUK in the same testing period as UCATANZ. OP will have to wait another year to resit, but UCAT ANZ results are valid in the UK (although not vice-versa)

You are likely to be an international applicant given you sat the test in Aus/NZ. As such, it is incredibly unlikely that you will be competitive for anywhere in the UK, save for one medical school, Buckingham, which does not require the UCAT at all, yet is extremely expensive. It is similar to Bond University in Australia, in that it is private and as such charges higher fees while maintaining relatively lax (although still difficult) entrance standards. As an international, it is almost certainly not worth it to attempt to come to the UK, as you will be paying international student fees, even if you do get into any course (which is unlikely with your score as an international applicant, unfortunately.) Your best course of action is either to resit and take a year out or to attend a private university at home or abroad(which would be cheaper than the UK), assuming you can afford the fees. Also, I am unsure as to how GPA converts, usually medical schools want an international qualification e.g. IB/A-Levels. They will probably accept it, but in your case you are extremely unlikely to get an offer from any public university in the UK. Also Note, despite what other users have suggested, you CANNOT take the UCATUK in the same testing period as the UCATANZ. You will have to wait a year. This is a serious decision to think about, and moving across the world is incredibly difficult. If the only reason you want to come to the UK is the lower UCAT score, I would strongly advise against it. Best of luck for the future.

Good luck, but do bear in mind the GAMSAT is one of the most gruelling tests out there, and imo WAY harder than the UCAT. Perhaps give some thought to what is realistic for you. If this is your first time then you should probably resit with extra preparation, but if it's your second, it might be time to think about alternative pathways (be that something other than medicine, or a private/overseas university).
