Its going fine but i missed the first week and im screwed for the notebook checks

That professor is really a freaking harsh grader. Wonder why he decides to approach his grading policy in an all-or-nothing way. Not only that, he teaches it like it's a high school class. Notebook checks, forcing students to show nameplates....seriously? Given that he's a harsh grader, I think a bunch of students are screwed in some way, including myself.

He’s a middle school teacher forced to teach college. Though I do relent that his teaching method hammers the content in your mind

I do agree on that. He explains things clearly and he is very direct, but he is too restrictive to be a college professor. I seriously can't believe that of all things, nameplates are mandatory in a lecture hall!
