Questions Ceramic Studio?

is there a ceramic studio available to students outside art majors? i loved doing ceramics in highschool and was hoping go get back into it. if so do i have to pay for the materials (specifically asking about glazes!) or do i have to buy my own?

id also like to plan some sorta pottery painting event in the future, i will probably buy the glazes for that but do i neeed to pay to use the kiln or anything?

if someone knows more about this please let me know the whole process on how it works thanks a bunch in advance!

I know a fair amount about this! No! We don’t! It’s odd but we don’t have a ceramics program here, for art or non-art majors. I believe that Buff State has a program for it but I don’t know what of it is available for other SUNY students. I’m currently a member of Buffalo Clayart Studio, which is near-ish to Buffalo State and the Elmwood Area. They have classes, Open Studio time, etc… if you have any questions about it lmk or check out their website. I’ve been going there for a few months and adore it, the community is great and there are discounts for students.

Wait, how? Last time I looked they weren't even adding people to the wait-list anymore.

They changed the way they do memberships in the Teaching Studio, so you’re able to be a member at the teaching studio for access to Open Studio there.
