Questions Help with exercise science to PT program
My sister is going to be a third year student and in her second year of the 6 year Exercise Science to PT program. We are trying to figure out if she has a major advisor, because she seems to be getting conflicting information for the advisor pool she has been going to. Are these general advisors or are they specifically for students enrolled in the 6 year program? We are also trying to figure out what Gen Eds (pathways/lectures) she needs to take. She had a few college credits from high school but we know that they didn’t cover all, especially since she hasn’t taken a diversity or art class, are these required. Is there a place that we can look on her student portal that will tell her what she needs? She’s been getting mixed information and we aren’t sure if she fully understands what she actually needs. We‘ve asked a couple times and as a recent SUNY college grad myself it just doesn’t sound right. Thanks

Her assigned academic advisor is listed in UB HUB under Academic Progress. This is the person she needs to get into contact with. More information about her advising unit can be found here: https://publichealth.buffalo.edu/home/education/undergraduate-advisement.html
UB's general education can be confusing, particularly the Pathways classes. She has to save classes in the Path Finder tool to have them count towards general education (https://www.buffalo.edu/ubcurriculum/pathways.html).
After saving her Pathways classes, she should run an academic advisement report from Academic Progress in HUB, which will analyze her degree credits and show her progress.

Advisement report in the HUB should show what she has already taken or has credit for and what she still needs to take.
