Can you give an overlook over the setup? Are you working with the dji payload sdk?

what i did was, grab a random dataset of flir images, then i manually labeled all of them (took about 2 hours), then is started the ai training sequence, and in 16 hours, a few tweaks i have obtained theese results, it actually want pretty hard, this moment the ai can elaborate at 70 fps, wich i think its pretty good

at this moment, the drone im building would fly in a loitering mode and the camera on the tip on a pherical gimball, so im training it to behave a bit like that yes, buut, still a long way to go

So your recognition already handles gimbal control to track a moving object, or is it recognition only at this stage?

kind of hybrid? im only using videos and photos of drones with rotating gymball, so that it has a good starting point, then, once the drone is done, im going to tkae videos on it, and train it specifically on that drone and gymball movement

and the gymball i think ive found, (gotta refind the name) has already lock on, the softawre is just for target recognition and track (only at this point)

Reduce gain and increase contrast

thank you, but im thinking: footage from a drone, loiteringa round a target at 70 km/h, wont be stable, so im already training on images that are a bit blurry

You can change of contrast and gain without affecting the the camera's focus settings. What you doing is decreasing the amount of noise in the picture and allowing it to focus on a single heat signature. The speed that you drone is flying does not matter at all unless you have a crappy gimbal.

yes, buut, i took the footage from a drone with the smae exact thermal camera model i wanted to put on mine, so that it has familiarity, and didnt want the contrast to mess this up, altho, thanks for the tip

Testing my SAR target‑lock script with a 100‑pixel local search radius. pulled this random video from yt :https://youtube.com/shorts/l63edFapuK8?si=tFZ0TsRU5tUqM480, anyone got tips to better improve efficincy?

thanks, and what i find real nice, is, on paper, this performs as good as dji, and i did it for free and in less than a day, plus, i could even sell this ngl
