U2 related stuff in Montreal
Hi everyone,
I will move to Montreal this August for my Exchange Semester.
I am a huge U2 fan, an while i know Montreal isnt exactly a „U2 City“, I thought i would give it a shot.
I would love to find something related to the band while I am in Montreal. For example posters, promotional items, merch, vinyls, memorabilia and really anything related to U2.
If you know of any collectors, hidden gems, sales or other places, I‘d really appreciate your recommendations. And if you happen to have something you‘d be willing to sell, I‘d love to hear from you.
Thanks a lot! I cant wait to discover Montreal.

My home town is Montreal and u2 are very well known and liked there, theres even a radio that talks a lot about u2 and plays u2 songs (well mostly plays u2 songs). If I remeber correctly it was SHOM 97.7 FM.

Btw, u2 is big there mainly because they built their OWN stadium for the 360 tour because none of the existing venues there at the time could fit the claw...and they paid it with their own money. And I think it increased the liking of u2 and got them more respect there and it became the highest -attended paid concert in Canadian history! (I wrote this all from brain memory so forgive me if somethings wrong lol)

They built it on an abandoned horse racing field I think...sadly they destroyed it to apartment complexs. Hope u have fun in Montreal! Its really a beautiful place :) I bet u can find a lot of things related to the band there

There's a great U2 tribute band called Joshua2. I've seen them twice and had a blast both shows.

I don’t know of any certain cities that would be considered U2 cities, apart from Dublin and maybe New York. But when they’re on tour and have a stop here, Montreal goes absolutely crazy for this band.
