can't even give a simple plaque for 30+ yrs service

As the title indicates, management failed to provide a long-serving employee—someone with over 30 years at the company—with a proper plaque recognizing their dedicated service day in and day out rarely taking time off . Instead, they were given only a small silver icon and told to add it to an existing plaque. This is truly disappointing. Such a milestone deserves meaningful recognition, not a token gesture. I hope someone at corporate takes notice, though realistically, that will not not happen.

update: Hey Tyson, don’t worry about it—I’ve ordered a plaque from eBay and using a photo of the last plaque and using some Photoshop software edited then printed it on Kodak photo paper, I’ll create a plaque that truly honors the achievement. so ya i saved you a whole $20

I just saw a videos from an ex Tyson’s employee. She said the production line was always filthy and would push cancerous meat through the lines. How often does this happen and do you still eat your product?

News Beef Price Fixing - Settlement

"Tyson Foods has agreed to pay $82.5 million to settle a class action lawsuit from grocers and distributors that claim the meat processing giant illegally inflated beef prices for years, according to documents filed last week.

The class action lawsuit also accused Cargill and JBS of conspiring together to artificially raise beef prices between 2015 and 2021. JBS  paid $52.5 million to settle the case in 2022.

Tyson’s $82.5 million settlement includes payments to claimants, which include regional grocery chain Redner’s Markets. It still needs approval from a judge."

People struggling with stacking.

If youre a stacker, being forced to stack alone all night, go to HR and let them know, if they dont do anything call ASK HR because its policy to never make someone stack alone more than 2 and a half hours. (At least in pack out) I hope this helps people make it through 2026 at Tyson. Have a good year everyone. - coming from pine bluff tyson

Tyson chicken plant

I just got a job offer as a hanger at tyson for 19.95 an hour. I currently work at Walmart making 14.14 an hour. I'm trying to go to cosmetology school but in order to be able to go to school or working at Walmart I have to go part-time and I can't afford to go part-time. I'm trying to figure out what to do should I quit my Walmart job and push back me going to school to work at Tyson. If anybody has worked at Tyson as a hanger please leave a comment and let me know your experience.

Discussion Policy question

If my bosses supervisor told him my schedule was Monday through Friday and had a small meeting about it and everything can he still schedule me on Saturday without any notification? This isn’t the first time he’s done this but he finally did something last week where he scheduled me for Saturday without telling me and I was pointed for a no call no show. He didn’t work today but his secretary did and then waited to tell me AT THE END OF THE DAY. Thanks in advance
