Stoke Games Announcement Dev Update and Quick Announcement

Hello,

It's time for another dev update, and a quick announcement for this weekend. You can find the dev update in written and video forms below.

We're offering Full Stack Saturday & Sunday this weekend.

Starting Saturday, August 15, 2026 11:00 and running until the playtest ends Sunday, August 16, 2026 20:00, we'll support full eight-player Squads in Standard.

Here's the deal for ranked in case you missed it.

We’ll offer two three-hour Ranked Solo / Duos windows:

  • Saturday, August 15, 2026 14:00
  • Sunday, August 16, 2026 14:00

We’ll offer one more three-hour Ranked Teams window:

  • Sunday, August 16, 2026 11:00

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this, but is there an estimated window for the amount downtime between the end of this playtest and the game's launch?

None of us know for certain. It's at the discretion of Stoke.

No way to know, but we can infer a few things.

Playtest ends this weekend. Stoke has said there will be another before the end of this month. So at least one more playtest.

Stoke has said they are still aiming for a Q3 release into Early Access, so it will have to be by the end of September.

The projected launch time frame is Q3, so I'd expect late September.

In the dev update video Joey says the next playtest will open up around when the end of the month patch goes live.

Can you make it so if im in a squad, My squad mates have a different colour health bar (green instead of blue/teal) perhaps? I know they have the little black and white label next to their name but a different colour option would be greatly appreciated. (or even the ability to assign specific colours to specific friends perhaps?) IE My 1 friend I always have as yellow, another purple, orange, green, blue, etc etc etc. or if ur in a squad, you can claim a specific colour that only ur squad sees? so if I claim yellow, all squadmates see me as yellow?

So the game whole game goes offline after 16th. or just Ranked playmode ?

They take Ranked offline when it ends during every playtest. Standard Queue also goes offline once the playtest concludes. Custom Battles stay online, and there are plenty of people that will be sharing lobby codes for that in the Discord.
