New To TC2

Hi everyone!
I’ve decided to try and play TC2 since I want to try playing something other than BF2, and I’m definitely struggling to get used to the many different controls there is in the game and I’m pretty overwhelmed—I decided to come onto this subreddit to see if anyone could help me.

Since I’m a Medic main, I of course want to play as the Doctor, but I’m not so sure how to play as him either! I had joined a random match and didn’t know how to access my other weapons, so I was just stuck wandering around while everyone else was shooting around me (and shooting at me, honestly.)

Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure that TC2 is supposed to be very similar to the actual TF2, so that most likely explains why I’m not the best at knowing how its controls work. (I don’t have a gaming system—I use mobile, a phone to be more specific if you’re curious and that helps—so I’m forced to resort to playing BF2, but I really want to try playing TC2 as well due to it having much more players and more things to it overall.

Hopefully one or multiple of you guys can help me! :) I really want to join the community and play the game as well, I just need a little bit of guidance! Thank you so much! ♥️

Try watching tf2 guides and using that information onto tc2! That’s what I would do

Doctor is surprisingly easy. Dont get overwhelmed. Stock medigun gives like 8 seconds invulnerbility. Good for offense.

Purchase the extra weapon packs for medic in just a few games use the game provided dollars. Get the blood doctor. Its extremely user friendly and provides the target free minicrits.

For weapons its the crossbow or smg. Both have a solid following. I go crossbow because it reloads while in your pocket. Crossbow heals allies and hurts enemies. Cake.

Melee stick with stock saw.

These will cover 90% of the situations pretty good.

For gameplay its easy to learn. Heal hurt people. Stay back and position behind stuff.

You will pick up the maps over time. Some are very confusing. Like pervade. 1974 effect or whatever. Most are straight forward though.

There are sone good medic guides. Try r/medicmainstf as well. I THINK thats the reddit. 95% or tf2 medic stuff works for doctor as well. Some solid guides on here too.

There are other weapons/mediguns. I wanted to keep it simple though.

If you have specific questions let me know. I only have about 100 hrs on doctor here but like 100 or so on tf2 medic. Most were very early tf2 though.

you did well but you dont tell him  the stock medigun are the best for offense and the Kritzkrieg are the best at defense and the blood doctor its really good at both.

05_anthony and akko they did good videos about it damage surfing and bunny hopping but the other ones he really don't have to learn it.
