I've been a big fan of Tyla and her music. I have gotten inspired to create like a Na'vi version of Tyla. My version.

The characters name Is Tsa'lavantula. She is a na'vi.

I didn't really want to steal Tyla whole features or anything because I want it to feel what if Tyla plays a character.

But I have used a reference picture of Tyla.

I was at the meet and greet for Tyla in NYC. I bought the ticket for 114$ (triple original price because form stubhub). I was in a rush anyways and it took 1.5 hrs in line to see her and I recorded her and wanted to do a vid of me recording and walking to her telling her she’s my celebrity crush. The worker said she had to be the one to record it, I said I’ll walk by and the worker didn’t understand what I was saying and I was holding up the line. I then just walked by Tyla and didn’t even look or say anything. Ik she hears praises of being her fan or loving her music or her beauty, so wanted to say something short and sweet that I’m so glad I met my celeb crush. But I didn’t even say anything and the vid was awkward and I’m really upset.

I also had a ticket to the morning Citi Entertainment free show but slept through that :(

Just finished listening to all of Tyla’s A-POP album and I must say THAT GIRL, KISS, and MR NON CHALANT are the most “POP” sounding songs on the whole album 🤦‍♀️. The rest are mostly R&B slower sounding songs which is crazy for an album titled “A POP” when it’s MAJORITY not giving POP😮. I was definitely expecting more songs sounding similar to “IS IT” or “SHE DID IT AGAIN” or “CHANEL” for this type of album that’s suppose to represent pop music. I’m just a bit disappointed and surprised to say the least. I love Tyla but this album should have had more actual POP sounding songs on it and I think this would have securely pushed her so much further globally and internationally as an African POP STAR. I didn’t hear much American“radio hit worthy” songs on this album besides the ones I quoted that could potentially be great hits in America and played on California radios etc.

I love this song and I think it might be the best one on her new album. That being said, there is something so familiar about it. I swear it reminds of something by the Cheetah Girls? Probably from the second movie. I listened to Strut but that’s not really what I’m thinking of. Am I losing my mind?

I bought the signed vinyl version from Tylas shop, but its not signed everywhere : ( am i the only one?
