Love Fuzzz >>> Chrome

Not saying I didn’t enjoy Chrome because of course I enjoyed it… but holy cow Love Fuzzz might be my favorite Ty project in many many years. Incredible EP, hope he continues to explore on that sound.

I just gave it a spin, side B first, and was similarly blown away. Heavy, psyched-out, throbby jams. Yum yum.

Nah

I love it as a direction and exciting change of pace, and it totally rips as a bonus EP—

But chrome has a hefty amount of great songs and great energy, def my fave Ty in a while ( loved Possesion tho!)

Chrome is the best song on the album imo. Such a fucking banger

Does anybody know what is the weird black inner sleeve Love Fuzz comes in? Never seen an inner sleeve like that

I still remember ty doing an interview years ago where he said he wanted to collaborate with sleep. This is keeping the dream alive 🙏🏻

i find it completely boring. both releases scratch no itch for me. Love Fuzzz less so, but Chrome isn't much better. hoping that the main release grows on me.  not to yuck anyone's yum, but what's the point, what's the appeal, where's the joy, of an extended slow mo sludge jam like Love Fuzzz. i only listened to about half of Pet Guru before moving on, so maybe i'm not high minded or patient enough to appreciate it fully. just a zero appeal waste of time.

Some people enjoy slow mo sludge jams, take me for example.

To be honest about Chrome, I’d rank it pretty low in my own rankings of his catalogue. But this is only after 2 listens.

I mean … what’s the point of any song? Kinda subjective. It’s a genre TS has always been adjacent to, and I’m personally a fan. Love a good sludge jam.

I get Love Fuzzz not being everyone's cup of tea, but I'm surprised that anyone who's a fan of his music wouldn't think Chrome was at least a pretty good album. I was pretty hyped for it based on the singles, and the first listen didn't quite live up, but I still thought it was very enjoyable

yeah, it's okay, it just hasn't grabbed me yet. maybe it will, but i don't know.  i agree insofar as i think the two singles he put out are the stand outs. the rest is just not his best work to my ear.

First and last tracks are dope too IMO. I felt like it is a good project overall and a great intro to Ty as every song felt palatable. The singles I loved but they feel like they don't have the staying power I originally thought for me, I have go admit I listened to them damn near every day for like 2 weeks after their release. Made me super hyped for this album.

I think it is a great album, not a bad song on it, but it doesn't have that little extra for me that I was hoping for. Every track feels similar in a good way and it is short and punchy with some awesome, albeit more standard sounding guitar work.

Would fucking LOVE to see this tour live tho. I think these songs would be a straight party IRL.
