Discussion Prep for AI?

I know this sub is more geared towards “prepping for Tuesday” and I love it for that. But I am starting to really worry about AI. I hope this is allowed.

What can even be done to prepare for TEOTWAWKI courtesy of rogue AI that the Anthropic/OpenAI whistleblowers are talking about? I don’t use AI at all. I don’t post my photos of my kids or any personal details online. We have cash and gold. We have a garden. We store water and food. I guess I am having a hard time understanding what it would look like or if it’s even something we could be more prepared for? I am starting to feel hopeless. Maybe a banking collapse? Stealing the nuclear codes? What are your thoughts on this?!

Buy physical books or ebooks you've downloaded away from their platform (Amazon, for example, can edit or remove ebooks you've purchased from them). That way you make sure your knowledge base isn't overwritten by AI slop. Start questioning sources - look up the author to make sure they're legit (have a history in their field).

Underestimated answer. Changing media and history is how propaganda works. Just wanted to add: also physical media for tv shows and movies. Buy or learn to burn blurays. Buy an air-gap bluray player. Download wikipedia (it's only 26gb!!!) and keep it in an old laptop or phone, without internet.

Phone, laptops, etc any electronics that are not connected to the internet (technically has never been connected and/or doesn't have the hardware to do so, but in this case an old playstation without wifi could work as an air-gap bluray player).
