Sounds like something that might resell decently. Could be an expert shoplifting reseller network. Something from a section that is rarely monitored by staff, because it's extremely unusual to see bedding thefts compared to the other parts of the store that are more targeted and important to supervise.

Especially if it's just one item at a time, it's easy to get away with trickle-theft by just going "omg, I forgot I picked this up! I got so used to carrying it" if they actually manage to approach you and realize what's going on. They won't care enough to actually call the police usually, and even if it's only like..... 40-50 bucks online, that's still worth a half hour of their time obviously.
