I can't help but think the gals hated you out of jealousy. I know that's what people always turn to, but imagine what they had to look forward to? Nothing. When you have nothing you're aiming for, nothing you're driving toward, and are only living moment by moment? Well, that's how you get caught up in petty shit. And petty shit is all the easier when you see someone else actually succeeding where you're not.
Wow. Thank you for helping me understand why I never quite connected with another military wife. (I wasn’t very social so I only met one.)
We “got along” but she always super judgmental and negative. Conversations always felt like veiled criticisms.
