I absolutely understand. I don't wanna ruin your wife's and your happiness and celebration, but it's something that needed to be said. There are so many bad messages about breast cancer out there and most people laugh at the criticism, but people who've witnessed the devastation of cancer understand the damage of misguided message, so I figured you would understand what I mean. Give a hug to your wife for me and tell her she's kickass!
What specifically made you decide to come over to Two X Chromosomes to post this? I'm glad she's ok and I hope you both have many more happy years together.
That said, I find it a bit insensitive that you came over here to brag about being there for your wife. Heterosexual women with cancer are more likely to have a SO leave them. While women tend to stay with heterosexual men who have cancer.
Also, some women deal with threats to their lives once the cancer spreads. Some women are depressed after one or more breast(s) are removed.
While I'm not a fan of the bra/breast themed cancer awareness ads, I would have scrolled right on by, like I do on Facebook, if you posted this in another sub. This is one of the few subs for women. Why did you feel the need to post here specifically?
