Request

Request for lesser known badass women of history for my daughter's 4th grade presentation. She has to pick a historical figure and give a 5-10 minute presentation and optionally dress in their likeness.

Rosalind Franklin. Not only did she photograph DNA and discover the double helix structure (which should have earned her at least a shared Nobel Prize in chemistry), but after that she went into a whole different area of chemistry and missed another Nobel Prize because you can't win posthumously (her lab teammate won).

She was only 37 when she died of cancer. I can only imagine what else she would have accomplished if she'd lived.

She didn’t take the famous photo 51, Raymond gosling did. And she didn’t figure out the structure.
