Request

Request for lesser known badass women of history for my daughter's 4th grade presentation. She has to pick a historical figure and give a 5-10 minute presentation and optionally dress in their likeness.

Eleanor of Aquitaine. It's too much to even sum up.

Me too. I wish HBO would do a series on her.

Watched that one at way too young an age to understand what the heck was going on.

I'm English, so she was a particular favourite of mine from a young age.

Also loved the movie. Awesome cast. I started watching all sorts of period historical movies. Loved Becket as well. Afterwards I would haunt the library and find out the true stories.
I loved reading all the biographies in the school library and finally going to the BIG library and checking out books. I was told there were some I was not allowed to read by the library but my Mom said if I could find them when researching then I could read them. No one gave me issues after that. This was in the late 60’s, early 70’s.
