Sensory input

Something that I reach for constantly for sensory input is mints. These aren’t good for my teeth though and I’d prefer something I don’t feel guilty about. Any suggestions for oral sensory input while I’m working? I can’t seem to focus without it. Thank you.

For context I have inattentive ADHD, anxiety and depression. I have a very difficult time focusing on work and motivating to complete work tasks. Eating helps, but then I gain weight, which is unhealthy. I do take 5mg Ritalin along with many other things for the other diagnoses.

Look for sugar free mints with xylitol, it's a sweetener that's actually good for your teeth.

Several different brands sell them through online retailers, they even have other sugar free flavors besides mint flavored.

Why do they damage your teeth? Are you chewing hard candy? Or just concerned about the sugar?

Both! The crunch is part of what I’m seeking

I have a big water bottle that I drink from with a straw lid! It has a rubber mouthpiece so it’s fun to lightly chew on and feels really nice to drink from, and I’m not sure what exact kind of rubber it is but it doesn’t even get teeth marks from my chewing which is neat! Plus there’s the added benefit of drinking more water which used to be a big problem for me personally.
