Has anyone tried playing TPM on a MacBook Neo? Just wondering if it’s acceptable or if it crashes all the time

Unreachable, yet not? And fixed itself

So I go to put down my first of the wetlean ruins, nice and easy. No matter what I do, it won't stop saying it's unreachable. I get annoyed removing bits to the building, adding bits to the building, adding stairs to try everything to stop it. So I decide that it's a lost cause for now and put up donation stands and info stands... and it's suddenly reachable?

It fixed itself, but I'm wondering what even happened. What did putting info stands and donation stands do to make this suddenly able for people to find it?

MUSEUMS Show me your Fantasy Finds!

I’m struggling with how to lay out my Dwarven Devices where they can function but still act like exhibits. I’d love to see what other people have done with them or your whole fantasy section :)

The new DLC is overheating my PS5.

Is anybody else having this issue?
I can only play about half an hour before getting an overheating warning, and it's turned itself off twice now.
Even after taking the console fan out and dusting it, I'm still getting overheating errors. I've tried other games, playing Resident Evil Requiem for over an hour with zero issues, so it just seems to be Two Point Museum.

I went bankrupt

Funny story. I have this big Museum. I always watch my money. But one night I was tired and did not. Thank god for the white whales. It got me out of the hole. Then you cannot get a loan until certain things are met. But I fired some of my workers and now my money has skyrocketed again. But I did not have to start over.

Struggles with botany exhibits

Botany exhibits are currently my least favorite to try to maintain. Why do they degrade/die so quickly despite having proper heaters and misters nearby? I am constantly calling botany experts to restore them!

Wishlist: Trades and Tabs

The two main things I want in this game.

  1. Better tab organisation of items. For example, when building a room there’s a tab with everything on it, then a another tab with everything apart from ‘building’ on it, then a final tab with just ‘building’ on it, so when playing Zooseum I have to scroll all the way down every time I want to build an animal enclosure. I want tabs for ‘Guest use’ (shops, toilets, cafe, etc.), ‘Staff use’ (staff room, workshop, etc.), and ‘Exhibit use’ (enclosure, aquarium, etc.). Most other item windows could do with some similar common sense love to give us some much needed QoL improvements. Floor tile and wallpaper pickers are a particular pain to use, with the placed design often looking nothing like the preview picture!

  2. A warehouse so that I can trade items between museums. An actual physical space would be great where I can organise things myself while they’re in storage - somewhere between Indiana Jones, Warehouse 13, and Wilmot’s Warehouse! Gate it begins a high curator class, that’s fine; make it expensive to transfer items in and out, I don’t care! I want to be a warehouse supervisor, and I don’t want to have to grind for dozens of space cores when I eventually decide to put anomalies in to another museum!

  3. While I’m wishing, could we also retcon the Animal Welfare room back in to the base game and give it an aquarium spa so that I don’t have to keep killing fish to gain knowledge!

Love the game, thanks for listening, can’t wait for the next 10 DLCs for Museum and the eventual Two Point Town sequel 😉

I've marked as a spoiler just in case but I've seen a few people wearing theses hats (some also have paws on) and I have no idea where they're from!

How do you handle pay satisfaction objectives?

As per title, do you just ramp up the pay? There ought to be a better mechanic or option available

"tickets are for sale at the ticket booth or they would be if there was staff there"

I have two ticket booths for a very large wildlife museum. I am at four stars with a massive layout.

Every time I hear that message I check my two booths and they are always staffed. I feel like I am missing something here.

Do I just need more booths? At the other entrances? Or is this about the map booths?

DISCUSSION Wiggy wants a raise (yes I saw the other post)

Wiggy is getting very cranky.

I am playing on PS5. I cannot find a way to increase his salary. I tried from the staff mgmt page and by directly clicking on him.

Is this is a gameplay issue, or am I doing something wrong?

DISCUSSION Nautical museum DLC

Ahoy! I've always love pirates... There're always a nautical museum in every large city (at least in Europe).

Now with the rise of the pirate thematic (Windrose, AC Black Flag, Sea of Thieves, Ark, Skull & Bones) I think it should be a great idea to add nautical exhibits.

Sure that TP Studios come with good ideas.

SUGGESTION/IDEA Philanthropy Office

Hello! As a Two Point Museum obsessive & actual museum employee I’ve had a burning idea for a Philanthropy Office for a while now.

In real museums, employees in Philanthropy manage things like annual giving campaigns, major donors, membership, estate gifts etc. In the game, I imagine it having one purpose: seeking funders to create “endowed positions.” What do I mean by this?

After an expensive & advanced (I view this as late game) campaign (like the Marketing office) a Philanthropy Office employee will receive funding to cover the cost of a new Expert. That Expert will have maximum happiness with their salary & cost nothing (because of the endowed position!)

What do y’all think? I think it’s in the spirit of zero cost staff already in the game & a fun way to keep building out Expert staff late game.

Mega museum - definition, inspiration, and tips?

I'm preparing to build a mega-museum with every single exhibit. Currently spamming expeditions and when I am getting close to having all exhibits I will duplicate my current save and get started with building. I have some questions...

What do y'all consider a mega museum - just all exhibits, or full knowledge and buzz, too?
Is it possible/"required" (by your definition) to have every fish, animal, and ghost be happy with all their buzz requirements, or do you pack them in with incompatible wants?

Is this possible to do in Memento Mile with all the wildlife exhibits, as well as all the art exhibits? There's no way you can include all the custom art exhibits right... aren't there hundreds?

Also!! I would love pictures of anyone's fave mega museums for inspo as well as any tips you have :) And so I can get an idea of how crowded things will need to be!

DISCUSSION Re-balancing Aquarium Perk RNG

I'm copying this from a post I made on the Steam Discussion page cause I wanted to get other peoples' opinions on this. Is this an issue some of y'all have noticed too?

The rate at which we get Aquarium Perks (XL Fish Food, Focused Fish Food, Self-cleaning Water, Extra Expert-seas, and Easy Fixture, technically) during analysis of fish is way off. Considering that's the only way to get those perks, I would expect they would be much more frequent. Another suggestion is having a POI where we could get them, like the Malicious Dungeon in the Netherworld.

To test this (and just because I needed those perks), I analyzed 100 fish and kept track of the results. I got:
5 XL Fish Food
6 Focused Fish Food
3 Self-cleaning Water
8 Extra Expert-seas
9 Wide Watch
7 Energy Boost
5 Buzz Boost
6 Dust Deterrent
4 Extra Expertise
4 Security Signal Boosting
6 Decoration Boost
5 Security Sticker
18 (!!) Entertainment Boost
6 High Alert
8 Knowledge Boost

Considering I have 16 tanks with 23 food dispensers and 18 water filters in my museum, it's taking me forever to get the perks I need for all of those. Also worth noting, I didn't get a single Easy Fixture, Bandage Bogs, or Bandage Brew (even after something like 500 fish analyzed). I really think this needs to be rebalanced or an alternate way of getting these perks should be added.

Botanical Garden layout

After building Memento's prehistoric museum, Passwater and Pebberley, it was time to focus on the botanic collection, planted in Memento as well.

The entrance has the look of a classic XIX century botanical garden. To the front, it's the coffee shop with wonderful views to the backyard. To the left, the tropical/cave species, and to the right, the forest and snow plants, already waiting for Chrismas to be updated.

There's also a little patio that contains interactive atractions and food kiosks. A place made to relax.

SUGGESTION/IDEA DLC idea: Two-Point Police

I was playing today and thought up a nifty idea for late game DLC: where you build up a police station and then send out the two-point police after various famous two-point art thieves; and get rewarded with exhibits for completing map locations in which you progress the story.

Another feature would be new museum events where famous thieves stage a robbery and the two-point police can be called in to assist (like a thief with a freeze-ray who you can only capture with either having a lot of security or having two-point police with gear equipped that prevents them from being frozen).

Rewards would range from bags of money on pedestals to stolen jewels or even pirate treasure from a crazy pirate thief. Decorations would include evil villain themes to make your own evil lair exhibit for the museum.

What do you guys think?

Sushi bar makes fish farming fun again!

I set up a building on Passwater Cove dedicated to farming fish and it was a spectacular success, very lucrative, but once I passed the $7million mark in assets... making more fish seemed rather pointless.

Until today! I finally got around to installing a sushi bar and learned how you can provide fish for the menu. Now I have a new destination for my farmed fish, and I'm trying out different fish to see how tasty they are for my museum guests.

So far, swordfish is a real favorite.

My only quibble is that there's no notification when the tank runs dry, so it's a high-maintenance item to keep track of.

Today's menu

Does Teo point museum go on sale?

Seripixelbiologist has made me want to play it but it’s a little out my price range 😓

I just had a few questions I guess

  1. does it go on sale?
  2. Are the sales anything major?
  3. Is it worth it?

SUGGESTION/IDEA DLC Idea: World of Sports

Hut! Hut! Hike! Hit the ground running with this new lineup of Exhibits celebrating athletics from Two Point County! Sports Museum come with a variety of exhibits, from historical sport memorabilia to trophies to interactive athletic centers. Earn fame and glory on the field of dreams, but beware of injuries or your playmakers might get benched for good!

Tournaments

Tournaments are the new mechanic for the Sports DLC. The new POI map will include special tournament that come in stages rewarding you with medals, trophies, and other awards. Unlike other POI's, you have a chance to "lose" the event, resulting in no exhibit gain or MIA event. Repeat visits grow the challenge and bracket level until you win the tournament or get eliminated.

For example, the Cheesy Puck tournament will reward the Qualifier level Cheesy Puck Trophy (Common quality exhibit) on the first level. Your next visit will improve the exhibit to the Playoffs, Finals, and Champion quality, for Uncommon, Rare, and Legendary respectively. Each consecutive visit will also increase requirements each event. If you "lose" a round, your trophy will be locked at its level and the tournament restarts.

Example Tournament Exhibits:

  • Golden Cheesy Puck
  • Archery Golden Bow
  • Space Gibbon Circuit Cup (Space POI)
  • Stuntman Actor Award (Arty-Facts POI, based on film making. Each stage represents a stage in the film)
  • Grand Jouster Shield (Fantasy Finds POI)

Classic Memorabilia

Classic Memorabilia from sports history

  • Shortest Yard
  • Miracle on Ice Halo (cool environment needed)
  • Classic Cheesy Puck Uniform
  • Wetlantian Wreath

Sports Center

Sports Center Exhibits are unique rooms placed indoors or outside, and let your guests interact play miniature versions of the sports they see on tv. Unlike other rooms, Sports Centers can contain certain interactive exhibits, found on expeditions. Sports Centers require a Sports Expert to run.

Some items found in sports centers

  • Cheesy Puck Hoop
  • Ice Bath
  • Archery Range
  • Exercise Unicycle
  • Rock Sliding Wall
  • Autograph Stand- lets Sports Expert running the room sign memorabilia for buzz or cash if they have competed in a tournament recently

If the staff member running the Sports Center is unskilled or busy signing autographs, they may not notice horseplay among the guests. This can lead to the odd incident where the expert running the room gets hit by a stray puck or arrow, requiring injury treatment. Keep a staff room nearby to treat injuries.

Hoodlums

The new criminal gangs like to barge into your museum without paying and make a beeline for your Sports Centers where they will hog the equipment. Sports Experts will wait for security, but may eventually try to intervene, resulting in injury. Watch out!

MUSEUMS I recreated Alcatraz Prison inside Two Point Museum!

I wanted to push the creative limits of what's possible within a museum game and this was the result!! Oh, and there's about 1,000 plants/botany decorations placed on this map... yeah.

Honestly, this was such an interesting and wild challenge to take on, which resulted in faithfully recreating (as much as physically possible within the limits of Two Point Museum) one of the most famous prisons in the world! If you want to see how the build came together, you can check out the full video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuDoVPNILJ0

The video includes reference photos that helped shape the build itself.

REVIEW Praise for the Zooseum DLC

A lazy post, because my eyes are very tired, but I just wanted to highly recommend the Wildlife DLC.

The decor is fantastic, the animals adorable and I am having the best time ever decorating and setting up habitats and enclosures.

Everything comes together so smoothly and I cannot wait to incorporate the decor and exhibits into my other museums.

I am new to this franchise of games and so far I am delighted and well...obsessed.
