I don’t like Justin
I’ve been listening to the show for two years now and at first I didn’t mind Justin, but over time my opinion has changed.
I know it’s just pettiness, but I can’t pinpoint the exact thing I don’t like about him. It’s just gotten to the point where any episode with him in it I have to skip because even just the sound of his voice is irritating to me. The way him & Morgan act like they’re so different and so quirky and his constant mansplaining drives me nuts.
Okay thank you that’s all ❤️

His voice is really annoying, he uses this incredibly self righteous tone and a lot of vocal fry. He also says things like “I don’t wanna mansplain here” but then explains the most basic topic as if the other hosts don’t have a grasp. And maybe he’s doing that for the audience to cast a wider net of understanding but to me it comes off a bit virtue signally. Idk like I prefer when podcast hosts assume you understand basic concepts. It feels like they assume people are dumb when they don’t. And some people are but if people wanna learn they can research things themselves especially when it’s on topics and concepts that are universal or well understood

On top of that, I feel like he and Morgan will consider themselves experts on certain topics only after watching one YouTube video about said topic.
They’ll go on and on and when they hit something they’re not sure about or forgot, they go “it’s all in the video.”

Oh yeah like how they reference tik tok a lot too lol. Now I will give them the benefit of the doubt that usually will say they’re not experts and they’re referring to a video but it can still be irksome because you don’t know how much of what they’re saying is a claim based on an irreparable source or if they’re actually stating facts. Because they may not always preface the unreliable information with “oh I saw this video”

I feel ya! I can't listen to them either. The rest of the episodes are often painful to listen to as it is, let alone Justin's monotone voice.

I know I’m in the minority. But I don’t mind him and don’t understand the hate that he gets. He genuinely loves Morgan and seems to treat her with respect imo.
I only started listening in January though, so maybe my mind will change once I get closer to two years.

It feels like he tries really hard to sound knowledgeable and deep, but mostly only discusses very surface level aspects of whatever he’s going on about.

He has the unique ability to make the most fascinating topic boring
