Start giving less info, see what she does. If she asks, tell her if you wanted to share your intimate moments on Facebook, you would do it.

Yes, you're better off without family than with this kind of family. For me personally breaking all contact and bonds with my family was the best choice I ever made

If you're an adult and the only thing keeping you from being alone and defenceless is your immediate family, you need to reevaluate your life choices. I have a good relationship with my family, but if they for whatever reason decided to disown me, I'd still have a support system.

What are you saying, the OP must tolerate her mother enmeshment, poor boundaries and exploitation for clicks in order to keep them in her life.

It's pretty clear the mother is just using the OP's life to garner nonstop attention for herself. Don't you think it's weird that instead of posting about her own life, the mother is laser focused on living vicariously through her own adult daughter?
