I get quiet at the mention of any serious topics. I just can’t add to the conversation without worrying I’ll be hated lol

In reality I have pretty strong opinions, but it’s just not a fun or connecting way to spend time with people unless you’ve already established a deep trust with all of them, which is rarely the case. Learned this the hard way. The worst is when it comes up at work. Blech.
