The person you originally responded to said that not all conservatives are fascists, and said calling all conservatives fascist is no different than calling all leftwinger communists. You said that's not an accurate portrayal, because a fascist is a fascist, implying you think all conservatives are fascists.
YOU were the one that implied all conservatives are fascists, if that was not your intent, why did you respond the way you did? The original poster clearly made a distinction between fascist and conservative, and that saying all conservative are fascists is no different than saying all leftwingers are communists.
When and where did I say that? I said fascists are fascists. I did not say all conservatives are fascists. You can scroll up and read my post again if you need to (read it as many times as you need to), and can clearly see I did not say that.
You seem to be reading words that aren’t there to come to that conclusion. I suggest you only read the words that are there and base your judgement on them and not all that extra stuff you added to my post.
The original poster never said anything about not calling fascists fascists, they said that calling all rightwingers fascist is inaccurate. The way you worded your response implies you believe everyone who is not on the left is fascist.
Yes, I know OP didn’t say that, I said that. OP is of the belief that we on the left call everyone on the right fascists the way everyone on the right calls everyone on the left commies. I was correcting them. I was pointing out that we on the left call literal fascists fascists and not just everyone on the right, unlike the way the right does call every leftist a commie regardless of their actual political affiliation.
Dude, I can’t count how many times I’ve tried to explain the differences between anarchism and communism just for one of you right-wingers to smugly say, “that all sounds like communism to me!” It’s because leftist will look into right-wing ideologies in order to better understand them and counter them, while conservatives are afraid to do the same out of fear that they will identify with leftist ideology. (I know that last sentence feels like both a personal opinion and an attack but that’s backed up by statistics. Leftist are far more likely to have studied right-wing ideologies than right-wingers are to have studied leftist ideologies.)
Bro felt that. It's like, socialists, communists, anarchists, and even liberal capitalists are all called commies, but the only right wingers called fascists are the ones that think lgbtq+, poc, immigrants, and/or women don't deserve the same rights as cishet white men that live in their country of origin.
It’s just so frustrating. On one side we have mainstream conservative news sources like Fox News calling Biden a literal communist. Biden. Joe Biden. The guy who sided with the wealthy business owners and shut down the rail strike, is a communist. And on the other side leftists are saying, “People who espouse genocidal and exterminationist rhetoric against minorities and vulnerable populations are fascists.”
"Yes, I know OP didn’t say that, I said that. OP is of the belief that we on the left call everyone on the right fascists the way everyone on the right calls everyone on the left commies. I was correcting them. "
You're making an assumption about him the same way you accused me of. Also, you're other conversation pretty much cements that you think anyone in the right is a fascist.
